Add Booking Extras

Overview

Booking extras let you add optional or required fees to your bookings — things like cleaning fees, WiFi charges, linen packs, pet fees, or any additional service you offer. Guests can select these when making a booking, or you can set them to be applied automatically.

How to Add a Booking Extra

  1. In your admin panel, go to Property Settings > Booking Extras in the sidebar
  2. Click the New booking extra button
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Name — What the extra is called (e.g., “Cleaning Fee”, “WiFi Package”, “Pet Fee”)
    • Price — The cost of this extra
    • Type — Whether it is charged per booking, per night, or per guest
    • Required — Toggle on if this fee should be automatically added to every booking (e.g., a mandatory cleaning fee)
  4. Click Create to save the booking extra

Types of Extras

  • Per Booking — A flat fee charged once per booking (e.g., a $100 cleaning fee)
  • Per Night — Charged for each night of the stay (e.g., $5/night for WiFi)
  • Per Guest — Charged for each guest in the booking (e.g., $20/guest for linen packs)

Managing Extras

Your existing extras appear in a list on the Booking Extras page. From here you can:

  • Click on an extra to edit its name, price, or type
  • Toggle required on or off
  • Delete extras you no longer need

Optional Extras on the Property

You can also manage which extras are available for a specific property:

  1. Go to Properties and select your property
  2. Click the Optional Extras tab
  3. Enable or disable specific extras for that property

How Extras Appear to Guests

When guests book through your website widget, required extras are automatically added to the total. Optional extras are shown as selectable add-ons during the booking process.

Tips

  • Use required extras for fees that always apply (like cleaning) — this keeps your nightly rate looking competitive while still covering your costs
  • Keep extra names clear and descriptive so guests understand what they are paying for
  • You can track extras orders separately under Bookings > Extras Orders in the sidebar
